Topic: Share a time with or memory of your mom, where life was Beauty Full.


On even my best days as a new mom, with a 5 month old who is a delight and a joy, I struggle. Feeding, bedtime, bath time, daycare, playtime...it's all so much to figure out. I can't imagine doing it on my own. And that's what my mom did, with twins. I never really grasped the magnitude of that daily sacrifice until I became a mom. We were never without anything. Our needs were put first. And now I see her doing the same thing with her grandaughters. Life with my mom has been full of beauty, and I'm blessed to know that my daughter will grow up knowing an amazing grandma. 


One of my favorite memories when I was little was a random "spa" night that we did in the living room, just us girls. And then, a few years ago, another girls weekend at my college. I have never laughed so hard in my life, and it was the start of a tradition that I hope we can continue with my daughter as she gets older. I can't tell you exactly what we did, or where we ate, or what we bought when we went shopping, but I know we slowed down. We focused on one another, we relaxed and we just spent time together. That's all. And it was beauty-full.
